Portsmouth, NH, the New Hampshire Art Association will be holding a “Body of Work: Series IV” exhibition during the month of August at the Robert Lincoln Levy Gallery, 136 State Street.

Throughout the year, NHAA holds several “Body of Work” exhibitions to give its members opportunities to showcase their work. Featured artists present their overall artistic vision and techniques.

Quiet Expressions is the theme of my “Body of Work” Exhibit I must admit, one not so quiet expression titled, Following Sea, is an ocean-scape I painted using a paintbrush, a palette knife, and my fingers.

The landscapes of my life inspire many of my paintings. One painting is almost always represented.

The mixed media painting, The Rublihorn, A special Swiss Alp, is one of over one hundred paintings that I have done, in oils, pastels, and pencil drawings of this Alp, as viewed from the Zwahlen Family Chalet, Saanen, Switzerland. It is always and in some way represented in my exhibits. The Rublihorn pencil sketch here represents the symbol of my husband’s courage, tenacity, and faith expressed in Psalm 121, and exhibited throughout his race for his life against cancer.

The “Body of Work: Series IV” exhibition runs from August 4 to August 29. Please join us for The Opening Reception at the Levy Gallery is, Friday, August, 6, 2021, from 5pm to 8 p. m.
